Guard Yourself With Gardasil by Kerry L. Gray

Women and girls have a new vaccine to protect their health. It is called Gardasil.

This vaccination protects against cervical cancer, which is the second most common cancer in women! Gardasil immunizes against four of the most common strains of human papillomavirus (HPV), the most common sexually transmitted disease in the United States and the cause of 70% of all cervical cancer cases.

To be the most effective, it is recommended that all girls get this vaccination long before they become sexually active, so it is recommended to be given around the age of 11 and 12. This vaccination is not a substitute for regular Pap smear screenings or routine care by your physician.

Make sure you and all your loved ones are protected with this very important vaccination. Contact your family doctor or health clinic and make this vaccination a part of every young girls' health care regimen.
