How to Fight With Your Man the Right Way! by DDHG Editorial Team
Do you know how to fight the right way? Is there such a thing? According to the experts, there is a way to resolve your conflicts and fight with your man, without resorting to hurtful comments, rude behavior and demeaning slights. Here are three rules for fighting the RIGHT way!
1. Ask yourself if what you're fighting about is going to be important to you in seven days. If the answer is no, then move on. Don't argue about things that aren't really, really important to you.
2. In the heat of an argument, it's sometimes hard not to resort to calling your partner names or making little hurtful jabs designed to make your man angry. Don't do it! And if your partner does it to you, ignore him and move on. The point of arguing the right way is to get your point across without yelling, hurting the other person or slighting the other person in any way. It's a free flow of ideas that can happen if each partner is willing to present their views calmly and rationally.
3. Don't repeat yourself. If you've said something once in an argument, there's no need to say the same thing over and over. You're going to come across to your partner as overbearing and that will keep the anger alive between you. Just say something once and move on to your next point. You're partner is not idiot (otherwise why would a fabulous girl like you be with him, right?), he gets it, despite the fact that you think he doesn't.
