Letting Go After Love Fades! by The Average Guy
Men and women go through breakups completely differently. Women want to share and cry with their girlfriends. If a man is dumped, we try to move on as soon as possible. There is nothing like new love to make you forget old love. However, if we have caused a breakup with someone that we really love, then it is much harder to let go.
But let me tell you what's just weird. Women will break up with a guy and then get pissed that he's moved on and gotten his life together. I've seen women divorce men and then get upset that the guy get a girlfriend and turn into a good man.
If you are ready to move on, be ready to move on. What do I mean? If you breakup with someone or divorce them, you are telling them that you no longer want them in your life. In fact, you're saying it loud and clear. The problem is that it seems that some women don't really accept what divorce looks like. First, it means that your ex is going to date and probably sleep with someone else. This isn't your business and you should react by saying 'Good riddance!' Do not even think about trying to control this aspect of his life. You have no legal or moral hold on this man. If he dates someone the day after the divorce/breakup, this is none of your business.
When you date, don't go on and on about how bad your ex is. Men don't care and we don't really want to talk about him. We want to see if there is a chance for me and you not go through the issues between you and your ex.
Don't wallow in the breakup. Sometimes people love to be victims even when they say they don't. It is okay to be sad, but you need to quickly try to get over it. Are your hopes and dreams shattered? Sure they are, but those aren't the only dreams in the world. Nancy and Ron Reagan had one of the greatest marriages of all time. These people truly adored each other. She was his second wife. If he had just concentrated on his disastrous first marriage, he would have never found the love of his life.
Be above the bullsh*t. You don't ever want people going around saying you're bitter. It's so unattractive and it really makes it seems that you're stuck on the ex. You're giving him a lot of power over your life.
When people ask you how you're doing say unbelievabley well. Why? Whether you're doing well or poorly, 'unbelievable' says it all. If you're not ready for that, then say you're doing better. You want to always be positive.
