1. Define your perfect guy. Really spend time figuring out what you want in a relationship with a man. Too often, women rush into the dating pool without any idea of what they're looking for or what they should avoid. Start by making a list of the top five things you need in a relationship with a man. This list will be your guide as you wade carefully through the dating pool.
2. Identify your dating pattern. Sit down and really think about the last five guys you've dated. It may be painful to relive these relationships, but you'll be surprised about what you'll learn. Analyze why each relationship did not work out. What did you do to contribute to the relationship's demise? What did your ex do? What good and bad qualities did each of these men have? Write it down and soon you'll see your dating pattern evolve in front of your eyes! Take a look at what you see. What are the common things that each of these men had that made the relationship suffer? Once you're dating pattern has emerged, do just the opposite of what you've done in your last five relationships. If you've always attracted guys who are needy, abusive, domineering or dishonest, break the cycle and seek out a guy who's just the opposite!
