Should You Trust Your Girl's Opinion of Your Guy? by Tasha Cunningham
We've all been there. Dating a hottie, who treats us so well. Then, inevitably, it happens. Your best friend hates him. It starts when she points out how unfashionably he dresses, or how loudly he chews. Then, before you know it, your hottie is on her hit list. But should you trust her opinion? What does she know about him that you don't know? Probably nothing, but if you find yourself in this predicament, here's what you can do!
1. Go straight to the source. Ask your best friend why she gets a bad vibe about your guy. Talk to her one-on-one to get at the root of what's bothering her.
2. Make a list. When you're talking to your BFF, make a list of the things she says bother her about your guy. Review it and ask yourself if any of her points are valid. This may require a gut-check because you'll have to admit that her criticism of your man is warranted. Be strong and do it if that's really the case.
3. Talk to your man about the things that you feel he could improve on from your list. If your best friend observed that he's always out with the boys partying, talk to him about it. Don't tell him that you're BFF doesn't like him, though! :)
