Three Dating Mistakes You Should Never Make! by Tasha Cunningham
You're back on the dating scene. Lucky you! You've ditched your dead relationship and you're ready to dive in and find love again. Great! But before you do, check out these three dating mistakes you should never make! Oh, and we'll tell you how to avoid them, too!
Getting Personal - The cute guy from the gym asked you to have coffee. You're elated and can't wait to tell him what a fabulous girl you are. But it's just coffee, so he doesn't need to know your social security number, the names of all you nieces and nephews or how many guys you've slept with. That's too much, too soon. Instead, keep things light. Believe it or not, exchanging playful banter is sexy. It's called flirting! :) It's also a sign that the two of you connect, so you don't have to get too personal with him at this stage of the game.
Believe What You See - A man always tells you who he is. He doesn't always do it verbally, but he does it. So if he's got sob stories of how every girl he's ever dated has cheated on, raves about how much fun it is living with his parents and says he's looking for a wife and kids on the very first date, run! This guy may only be out for a good time, but what you've got to remember is that he's telling you the kind of person he is without really having to spell it out. Pick up on the clues!
A New Relationship Will Fix Everything - Women and men alike sometimes think that all they need is a good relationship and their lives will be complete. This is a mistake. You should never think that way. You don't need a guy in your life to be complete or to validate your existence as a person. A good relationship is supposed to enhance your already great life, not be the linch pin that makes or breaks it. Before you head out on the dating scene, make sure you've gotten over your last relationship, are sure that you know what you want in a new relationship and have taken a long hard look at yourself and the areas of your life you need to improve.
You can do it! Good luck!
