Why do men say they will call and then don't call?
Sit down so I can explain the facts to you. If we like you, we are thinking about you on the way home and we want to call you sooo badly but we don't want to look desperate or needy. We probably won't call you the next day. In our minds, that sends a signal to you that we are not desperate and needy.
Now, if we like you, we will call you on the second day after the date. This is clock work! I will call you and ask you out again. I will chat you up. It's all good.
If we don't like you, we probably won't call you but we will tell you we will. Why? Because we are cowards!!! It's not hard. We are cowards and we are afraid to tell you that we don't like you. So, we lead you to believe that we had a great time on the date and would love to do it again. We tell you that we will call you, but by the time we drive away, we hope/know that we will never see you again.
But this is really perverse. In leading you on, we are saying in effect, that we want you to like us. That's why won't just tell you the truth. You won't like us anymore. So, instead, we lie and then hide from you. Stupid? Yeah, but it's the truth.
I wish I could give you ladies a long explanation of why men act like this, but it's pretty simple and doesn't require a long explanation. It's just men being needy for approval and being afraid of not being liked.
