What Makes a Man Marriage Ready by The Average Guy

1. Don't make his allergy worse. If you're dating a guy that is a marriage-phobe, don't push it. This is a guy who could probably warm up to the idea of marriage if it wasn't thrown in his face all the time. And believe it or not, the fact that you are so gung-ho about marriage might make your guy feel like there's something wrong with him for not feeling the same way. Instead, have fun and build a solid relationship that your man can't see himself being without.
2. Don't compare. Pointing out that all your girlfriends are married or in the process of getting hitched isn't going to help bring your guy around. He's going to feel an immense amount of pressure to walk down the aisle with you and that's NOT what you want. Instead, make sure you get invited to all of your girlfriends weddings and make sure to take him with you. This will allow him to conquer his fear of marriage once he sees how it easy and fun it can be to walk down the aisle.
3. Don't buy a ton of "relationship" books. Most men feel like they don't need books to tell them what to do when it comes to relationships with women. It may not be true, but make your guy feel like it is anyway by not shoving book after relationship book down his throat. Instead, tell him about a book you're reading and some of the interesting things you've learned.
