Would You Sue if Your Infidelity Was Revealed? by The Average Guy
You've all heard the one about the guy that sent flowers to his girlfriend? Sure, you have. Well, how about the guy that sent flowers to his girlfriend and got caught? Ok, so there is a guy in Texas named Leroy Greer who was in the process of getting a divorce. While he was divorcing, he sent flowers to his girlfriend and 1-800-FLOWERS sent a thank you note to his wife. Obviously, the wife was a little disturbed and he was a little embarrassed. What to do? Sue the florist.
A few years ago, I was listening to a radio program and the host was talking about players and technology. He was advising that players should not use technology because they don't know how and because they will get caught. He said that camera phones, email mail, and text messaging were all ways for the player to get caught. He should have also said sending flowers to your girlfriend will get you caught.
Let's be clear. He is suing the florist because he got caught. Come on. He's suing because they failed to keep his infidelity a secret. When you sneak out, you can get caught by any number of sources. In fact, E-Z pass toll records are now being used in divorces because the toll records can tell where a car has been and when it was there.
You should not do anything that you are afraid of your spouse finding out about. Cheating is too hard and it's not worth the time and effort. Did you know a person's location can be pinpointed through triangulation, and checking cell tower records?
It can be proven that you made a call from or near your lover's home. There is no lie that can't be discovered. Your car GPS system will reveal any lie. Various car location systems will reveal the current location of your car. Think what would happen if your spouse calls a company and says that the car has been stolen and that she/he would like the location of the car. Why shouldn't she/he know where the car is? At least half of it belongs to them.
The simple point is you cannot sue everybody for revealing infidelity. The simple lesson is don't cheat. Furthermore, take responsibility for the problems that you cause by your behavior. It's part of being a grown up!
