| Recently slept with my ""new boyfriend"" and he was great and called and then I got the cold shoulder only after a few days; well, I called him on it and he said he was sorry and did not know why he did that, etc, etc., but the more I think about it, the more I am opting to dump him. I don't want to be treated poorly ever again in my life and I am afraid if I let this slide he will take it as a sign of weakness, like I will put up with anything....Ideas? Advice? |

This is a perfect example of seeing a red flag but explaining it away, listening to the excuses of a man, or not wanting to admit you made a mistake. Get out...too bad you already slept with him. Hope you used protection. If not get tested. If something seems wrong...it is. If you ignore it, it will only be a matter of time, money, stds, before you reach the same conclusion you have right now.

Have a few questions: 1) How long did you wait to sleep with him? 2) Was he a perfect gentleman calling after every date? 3) Did he call a day later or 3 days later? Or 7 days later? 4) Who was the pursuer? 5) was this a '3 date rule' sexcapade? You haven't filled me in enough. Men will treat you how you allow them to. It is good that you called him on it, although his apology is expected, as if he ever wants a piece again, he has to. Need more info please...
