How does one stop loving one so quickly?

So can any woman explain something to me. I go out with a man for 7 months, he plans on moving in, buys things for the home, tells me how I will be the mother of his children, I am his last first date, last first kiss, rearranged his 401k to save for our future. Goes out of town acts distant, when I ask him about this he reassures me, tells me he love me and wants to be with me. Two days later via a pya phone he says he found someone new he has ever felt this way before and he has to follow his heart. Oh, and he's sorry. Have not hear a word from him in 3 weeks. How does a man go from one second being madly in love with you to no contact and acts like you never existed?

I've been through this, so let me try to give an explanation based on my experience. Guys like this like the chase, they like the 'honeymoon' phase of a relationship, but when it comes to making the relationship last, they decide it's too much work. He uses the word 'love', because he thinks that's what he's feeling, and what he's supposed to say, but in reality he's just not ready for all the stuff that comes with loving and committing to another person. I would bet that there were women before you that heard the same thing from him, and, believe me, this 'someone new' will probably go through the same thing you did. A word of warning: if you do hear from him again, keep in mind that his words don't mean a thing.

My dad recently did this to his wife, but he was involved in drugs. Now he's married the next woman that he comes across that will do drugs with him... Not saying drugs are involved, but you just never know.
