Kick. Box.
I used to work out at the gym 3-4 times per week but I couldn't stand - I mean I HATED - cardio. So, my workout consisted of nothing but weight training. Not a bad workout, definitely good for me but, oh, so BORING!
After a while, I began to dread going to the gym because it was the same routine (not much you can do to keep weight training fresh) and I started to slack off, which frustrated me even more.
Then, someone I don't know personally but with whom I am now DEEPLY IN LOVE opened a -- well, I call it a -- dojo, complete with martial arts instruction, boxing, and my new found love, KICK BOXING.
I cannot express to you what an awesome workout kick boxing is. It combines strength training with cardio but there are enough variations of the workout that can be combined that it (at least for now) hasn't gotten boring. In fact, I'm now working out between 4 and 6 days per week and I actually look forward to it.
I highly recommend it - I'm seeing amazing results, too |

I like weight training the best, the heavier the weights the more I sweat and get my heart rate up. I found that I dropped the fat faster and built up my strength without bulk. In the past I always thought women weren't supposed to lift heavy weights because you'd look like a man, however, you only start to look like a man if you take steroids. Women are just built different so throw on some more weight. I hate cardio, I keep looking at the clock. Haven't tried the kick boxing though Rip. Sounds like fun and a good change.

I always had a love/hate relationship with cardio. Running sucks, the eliptical gets boring sometimes..etc. I do have weight training in there with the cardio. However, my aunt is a spin instructor and invited me to take interval training class. Woo-hoo! I love it and replace one workout a week with it, it totally works but not for the faint of heart.
