Question:
I've got a problem. I'm a Hispanic female. I've been dating a white guy for about three months now. I'm ready to tell my family, but my dad is adamant that I date Hispanic guys and eventually marry one. How can I tell my family that I'm dating a guy who's not Hispanic?

okay for you to date someone outside of your own race or culture. If I were you, I'd be straight up with your parents and tell them that you've been dating a guy that you really want to be with and that his race and culture do not matter to you. Tell your parents you hope it doesn't matter to them, either. At the end of the day, the choice of who you want to spend your time with is yours. Don't let your parents old-fashioned ideas on race and culture prevent you from being with someone you could potentially have a great future with!
