DDHG Donates to Produce Domestic Violence Public Service Announcement
DontDateHimGirl.com, one of the top-ranked women's websites on the Internet, announced today that it will make a contribution to the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade's "Voices Against Violence" campaign to help create new public service announcements about domestic violence.
"The goal of the "Voices Against Violence" commercial is to empower victims of violence, and to engage men as partners to end domestic violence. Men can and must play a critical role by raising their voices against violence," said Sophie Brion, Women's Advocacy Project Director at the Women's Fund.
The Women's Fund of Miami-Dade's "Voices Against Violence" campaign, now in its second year, is developing a new multi-media campaign to educate men in Miami-Dade County about how they can help end violence.
"The Women's Fund of Miami is doing outstanding work and we're two local organizations trying to make a difference in women's lives," said Tasha Cunningham, the creator and CEO of DontDateHimGirl.com. The site provides a powerful online resource for women seeking counsel about love, dating, sex, relationships and marriage.
"My life has been impacted by domestic violence, so I know the tragedy that comes from it," said Cunningham. "I will do whatever I can to support the Women's Fund through our DDHG Empowers Fund and underwrite programs that will help other women who are suffering because of domestic violence," said Cunningham. "I encourage everyone to become a voice against violence and do what they can to stop the cycle of abuse."
