3 Reasons Men Say They'll Call (But Don't)
Often, after going out on a first date with a girl, a guy will say he's going to call, but then for some reason, never does. Women have been perplexed by this for decades! So why do men do that?
1. They don't want to watch the girl's feelings being hurt. "It's always awkward," says DDHG contributor The Average Guy. "At the end of the day, a guy knows if he's going to call again, but if he's not, he doesn't want to tell her at that time because he might hurt her feelings. He would rather just not call her and hope she gets the hint."
2. He's just not that into you. "Guys will call women they're interested in," said Average Guy. "If he doesn't call you within two days after a date, it means he's not interested."
3. He can't make up his mind. "At the end of a decent date, a guy might have every intention to call you," said Average Guy. "But then things like other women and life in general come up and all of sudden, he's made up his mind not to call you, but he's not going to pick up the phone and tell you that.
