Does Hooking Up Hurt Your Reputation?
Everybody talks, and when you hook up with someone at a party, everybody knows. In fact, people at the party are probably texting each other about it while it is happening!
There is no way something like that will not affect your reputation when everybody knows and everybody is talking about it.
Guys feel that a girl who hooks up all the time is not the type they want to date for a forever relationship. Girls who hook up randomly with guys all over town are still thought of as tramps, cheap and easy.
It's the same old story and the same old double standard but it still applies. Besides getting a sexually transmitted disease,
hooking up with lots of people can hurt your reputation. It can take a long time to get your good reputation back, so think about
protecting it in the first place.
Be selective about who you date, who you see, and especially think about how that random hook up at a party might affect you. It can have lasting effects that you would rather not deal with in the first place. You don't hear many stories about how wonderful hooking up with someone was, so get unhooked and protect yourself and your good reputation first! -- Kerry Gray
