Guy Stuff: What's the Right Way to Break Up With a Girl?
I know you've been there guys. We all have. The moment we know we want to breakup with a girl, but don't want to deal with the drama that comes with it. When you're growing up, no one ever tells you the right way to do it.
Believe it or not, though, there actually is a right way to let a girl go without the drama. First, don't dance around the issue. If you want to breakup with a girl, you've got to give her the bad news straight. Don't try to sugarcoat the fact that her feelings are going to be hurt and at one time, you thought they were pretty important.
Second, be honest. Tell her exactly why you're breaking up with her. If it's because you want to date someone else, tell her. If you don't, she's going to think there is still hope for a future with you. Since you don't want that, be honest with her.
Third, men and women can't be friends, so don't offer her friendship in place of a relationship. Make a clean break and don't promise her anything.
