The Other Woman: Why Your Guy Cheats and How to Stop Him
My story isn't that uncommon. I was in a relationship with a married man for over five years. It was a wonderful time in my life and I was sad to end it when I did, but I had no choice because at the end of the day, I knew he wasn't going to leave his wife and I would never be his Mrs.
Although the relationship was wrong by society's standards, there were a few good things that came out of it. I learned a lot about why men cheat and how women can prevent them from doing it.
The #1 reason most men do it is not because they aren't having sex with their wives, it's because they're lonely. They don't have that emotional connection with their wives that they once had, so they turn to another woman to fulfill it. The best thing a woman can do to prevent her man from straying is to be there for him and support him. Do things together and keep that emotional connection going as long as you can.
The #2 reason most men cheat is sex. If a guy isn't having sex with his wife or girlfriend, he WILL seek it elsewhere. A lot of guys with mistresses are just using them to provide the sex they're not getting at home. To prevent your guy from cheating on you, have sex with him often, even if you don't want to. Also, have sex with him every time he asks even if you're not in the mood. You never know when it will be the last time you get asked.
And last, but not least, the #3 reason most men cheat is that they're bored. At home, their lives are boring, consumed by paying bills, a mortgage and kids. When a guy is with his mistress, he can be carefree and happy, without a worry in the world. Women in relationships can provide this kind of atmosphere for their man.
Don't make the only conversations you have with your spouse or boyfriend be about what bills need to get paid and what kid needs to get dropped off where. Instead, talk about things that are fun, interesting or any bizarre thing you see on TV. Whatever you do, don't wear him down with household matters all the time.
