What You Should Do if You Get Dumped Before Your Birthday
Dear DDHG,
I can so sympathize with Jessica Simpson getting dumped before her birthday. The same thing happened to me a few days ago. I just can't believe it. My boyfriend (we dated for three years) told me that he needs his space to think and grow. What does that mean? When I asked him he said I just don't get it. What should I do? I am totally lost on this one.

That is awful! We at DDHG feel for you. Learn the lesson from this dating disaster. You can't make someone be in love with you if they say they're not. From whatever reason, your ex decided he wanted to move on. Although you may hate it, he has a right to do it.
In the meantime, you will move on with your life too. Cut off all contact with him for a while and focus on you and the things you want out of life. He'll be living his life to the fullest while you're not together and you should do the same. -- The Average Guy
